Fluffer-nutter smores pastry-puffs

Christmas is the time for total OTT indulgence isn't it? Then there's nothing better than these two puff-pastry braids - one filled with peanut butter, chocolate, caramel and bananas and another with marshmallow fluff, dark chocolate and caramel bananas.

The caramel crystallises on the puff-pastry crust and it tastes amazing!!!

In other news, I'm not sure what's happened but my blog views just blew up last night to 1K for yesterday hello new readers, thanks for visiting. I just keep this blog for fun but it's really nice to know people enjoy it.

I can't work out which is my favourite. The peanut butter and caramel braid tastes like peanut brittle with caramelised bananas and chocolate...but on the other hand smores are just a classic. So naturally you're going to have to make both or combine the two together; I can't see any other way forward haha.

If you want to make it, which I would highly recommend then it's really easy.

Pour half a mug of brown sugar into a pan and add about a shot of water. Heat it on low and be really careful because melted sugar is ridiculously hot. Then slice 3 bananas into 4 long strands and add it to the caramel. Let the bananas get coated until they've become golden (but not soggy). Then begin layering your puff pastry. For one, layer marshmallow fluff, bananas and dark chocolate and for the other layer crunchy peanut-butter, bananas and chocolate. Braid them up and bake them for about 20 minutes on 180 degrees until they are browned.

I hope you like them as much as I do...but I'm sure you will!
