Super cheesy scones

However you pronounce them, cheese scones are definitely one of the nicest snacks and these have so much extra cheese in them...so they are the best of the best.

Best eaten warm while the cheese is melting on the inside *love heart emojii*

To make them you need:
500 grams self raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
salt and pepper
250 grams cheddar (save a large fistful to top the scones just before they go in the oven)
cayenne pepper or chilli flakes
100 grams of butter
splash of milk

Preheat the oven to 180 fan

All you need to do is sieve the dry ingredients together, rub in the butter and add splashes of milk bit by bit until you have a dough. 

Roll the dough out to roughly 2cm thickness and cut them into triangles or shape them into balls. I hand cut mine because the only cutters I have are elephant or penguin shaped haha but they would definitely be neater if you have a proper cutter for them. Once you are happy with them brush the tops with milk and stack a small pile of cheese on top. Put them in the oven for 18-20 minutes and then keep an eye on them to make sure they're nicely browned.
